Columbia’s Mardi Gras “Halloween” Parade is always the fourth Thursday in October. The parade is sponsored by the Columbia Lions Club and the Sunsnappers.

The parade features high school and community bands, floats, baton groups, fire departments and local businesses. The last unit in the parade is always a steam calliope.

The parade steps off at 7:00 p.m. at the Columbia Borough Fire Department, 10th and Manor Streets. The parade route is as follows. Manor Street to 4th Street; 4th Street to Union Street, Union Street to Second Street, Second Street to Locust Street, Locust Street to Sixth Street, Sixth Street to Cherry Street. It consists of five divisions, with each division sponsored by local businesses and organizations.

SPONSORSHIP LEVELS

To ensure this year’s parade is as successful as those in the past, we are asking  businesses, organizations and individuals to consider making a donation to cover the cost of bands, special performers and prizes awarded to the best floats and walking groups.
 
The most visible way to support this year’s parade is to sponsor a division of your choice. Division 1 can be sponsored for $350, while Divisions 2 and above can be sponsored for $250. Division sponsors will be recognized with a prominent banner at the front of each division. Donations of any amount are welcome, and all sponsors will be recognized in an advertisement in The Merchandiser and on our Facebook page
